The new face of talk radio!

Before you listen to the Innovation@Work! Radio Show with Winston Edmondson, there's something that you should know. This is not your daddy's talk radio. Don't get me wrong, your father will probably love it too, but this show doesn't much resemble the talk radio that most people are used to. Is this the future of talk radio? It is if we're lucky. Winston Edmondson started his talk radio career with a bang. "I wanted to start the first radio show that was all about big ideas. I came up with the name Innovation At Work and my goal was to show people all the amazing things they could accomplish with a little creative thinking. The show about big ideas needed a big debut, so my business partner, Tony Enger, and I built the World's Largest Suggestion Box." Edmondson and Enger, both Lewisville residents, built the massive, record breaking structure in Old Downtown Lewisville. So impressed was the Mayor of Lewisville that he made an official proclamation, naming the day "The Creative Ideas and Innovation Day".

Innovation at Work originally aired every Sunday on News Talk 660 KSKY. The show quickly developed a large following. The open format allowed Edmondson and Enger to discuss a much broader range of topics than other programs. One week, Winston might be interviewing an accupuncturist while receiving a full body accupuncture session, and the next week, they might be discussing Guerrilla Marketing techniques. Their audience was growing, as listeners tuned in just to see what they would talk about next.

The current version of the radio show has evolved somewhat from the beginning. Now heard every Saturday at 1:00 PM on BizRadio 1360, it now goes by the name The Innovation@Work! Radio Show with Winston Edmondson. Also of note is the intelligent cast of characters, which has grown considerably. In addition to Edmondson and Enger, the voices of Zain Naboulsi, a tech savvy programmer that works for Microsoft, and Elizabeth Stewart, a college student with aspirations of hosting her own show one day, can be heard regularly on the program. You might also get to know the regular expert guests that visit the show to share their knowledge on a particular subject.

The variety of topics is refreshing, but what truly makes the show unique is the call to action. Every program on talk radio has a call to action. The listener should, if the host is effective, get up and do something by the time the show ends. 99.9% of the time, the call to action is to buy something. The host is always selling something. Home loans, automobiles, garden supplies, books, seminars, and everything else you can image. Can you guess what the call to action is on the Innovation@Work! Radio Show with Winston Edmondson? Think bigger! Innovate! Get out there and go after your goals! There's nothing to buy. Wow. A sincere talk show host. Now that's an innovative concept.
